Support Ninja is a twitter account created by tajasel for reaching out to people asking questions about and reporting problems with Dreamwidth on twitter.
It is controlled by a few interested members of the support team who take shifts at being on "support ninja duty".
The topic of the #supportninja IRC channel will always display the current ninja-on-duty. This Wiki page is intended to be a depository for short links and oft-used statements that can be sent to twitter users.
I'm on the support team! Can I go on ninjaduty?
Sure. Talk to tajasel and she'll give you the account password.
- Use twitter search to find mentions of Dreamwidth.
- Everytime there's a new tweet mentioning DW, a bracket with a number in will appear in the title/tabs bar of your browser next to the rest of the title (e.g. "(1) dreamwidth - Twitter search")
- Navigate to the tab/window and refresh to see the new tweets.
- Reply to tweets asking questions/reporting problems, either from the web or a twitter client of your choice.
Statements
- Dreamwidth is a codefork of LiveJournal which just went into open beta. Useful links: http://is.gd/vXyV & http://is.gd/vYOC.
- DW is not exactly like LJ: it is a codefork & full of differences. Useful links: http://is.gd/vXyV & http://is.gd/vYOC.
- there are several ways to get a Dreamwidth account - you don't have to have an invite code. See http://is.gd/vYOC for info.
