Resource Utilization
For ease of setup, Ganglia is probably the easiest/best thing to do. We can inject interesting statistics into it, too.
Alerting/Availability
A combination of things:
- Nagios for monitoring individual server/service/etc availability.
- External service to page if the site becomes unavailable.
